Raise for Rosie

Our daughter, Rosie, was born on 20th August 2016. She was born perfect in every way except she was white and lifeless.
Rosie had suffered a Fetal Maternal Haemorrhage in the womb and was in very poor condition, she had lost 80% of her blood. She was rushed to the ICU where unfortunately she started to seize uncontrollably. She was ventilated and placed on a cooling blanket and put into a hypothermic state for 72 hours to minimize the brain damage. She continued to have seizures throughout the cooling period. We were told to expect the worst outcome. When Rosie was 8 days old, she had a brain MRI which confirmed our worst nightmare……Rosie was profoundly brain damaged and would not survive once we removed the ventilator. Thankfully, our little fighter had other ideas and continued to breathe on her own after she was extubated. Rosie came home with us after 5 weeks.
As a result of the brain damage, Rosie has HIE, Microcephaly, Epilepsy, Cerebral Palsy and is also tube fed. She is also visually impaired. Rosie will require 24 hour care for the rest of her life. She will also require extensive therapy and special equipment to help her fulfil her full potential. She has given us so much hope in the last year because she is so strong and determined. We are determined to get her as much help as possible so that she can continue to fight and become stronger.
This is where you come in, we are trying to raise funds so that we can continue therapy and also provide her with the supported seating and equipment she requires. We are so grateful for all your support.
